Job Description:

Summary: The Regional Customer Service Representative (CSR) will ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained by providing support to banking centers in various roles through short-term assignments on an as-needed basis. This support may include, processing financial transactions for customers, sells negotiable instruments, cross-sells Bank products and suggests possible services, and answer questions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide quality customer service to customers and co-workers;
  • Open new consumer and business accounts;
  • Accept and process deposits, including large commercial deposits, night and mail deposits, and loan payments;
  • Give cash from deposits while ensuring that individual receiving cash is authorized on that account;
  • Sell cashier checks, and money orders,
  • Transfer funds;
  • Monitor cash for detection of counterfeit money;
  • Verify customer identity, endorsements, and signatures while maintaining alertness for forgeries, stop payments, fraudulent items, and false identification;
  • Buy and sell cash to maintain teller drawer at set monetary level;
  • Buy and sell money to tellers and vault;
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of the day;
  • Order money from the vault;
  • Occasionally balance the vault;
  • Identify and process dormant accounts;
  • Answer telephones;
  • Perform depository account maintenance and enter new accounts into system;
  • Assist branch manager;
  • Travel between banking centers providing support as needed;
  • Serve as a backup Teller as needed; and
  • Perform other work related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Must have the ability to type 60 wpm;
  • Must be able to operate 10-key;
  • Must be able to perform basic reading, writing and math skills;
  • Must be able to complete normal transactions with limited supervision;
  • Must be proficient in computers and Microsoft Office software;
  • Must have working knowledge of office equipment;
  • Must have the ability to handle large amounts of money without error;
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer relation skills;
  • Must have attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks;
  • Must be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between branch locations;
  • Must be able to handle frequent interruptions; and
  • Must be able to pass background and credit screening process.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working as a Teller required;
