Description: General Comments Unit Information: Number of Beds: 21
- census only around 8-12. Number of Staff: Day Shift: 1 charge
nurse, 3-4 RNs, 1 Patient Care Technician. Night Shift: 1 charge
nurse, 3-4 RNs, 1 Patient Care Technician. Patient Ratios
(Estimated): 1:3/4 flex to 5. Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, EMR
- Meditech. Typical Hiring Profile: Skill Set: Most recruited for
Oncology. Candidates without these skills will not be considered
for the role. Preferred or nice to have: Hematology/Oncology
background, Chemotherapy certification. List of Typical Procedures
Performed: Replacing blood and electrolytes. Best Personality Fit:
Compassionate. Floating Areas: Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow
Transplant. Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire: Royal blue. Unit
Guidelines/Policies: Neutropenic precautions. Strict intake and
output monitoring. CHG bath and linen change every 24 hours.
Dressing change every 7 days. Lines and caps change every 96 hours.
No children under 16 permitted. Weekends and On-call: Rotating
