Job Title: Rehab Pt Access SpecialistCook Children's Health Care System is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Rehab Pt Access Specialist. This role is responsible for providing access to services provided at the hospital and/or Rehab clinics by scheduling and performing admission and dismissal processes.About the Role:

• Assist in providing access to services by scheduling and performing admission and dismissal processes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Verify health plan coverage eligibility and collect payment toward patients' plans at the time of service.
• Maintain knowledge of JCAHO, HIPPA, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and departmental/System policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative and operational support for department therapists and the clinic manager.Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to type, spell, write or print legibly with general knowledge of personal computers.
  • Strong documentation and customer service skills.
  • 1-2 years of Hospital admissions or physician's office experience required, or 1-2 years professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of health care insurance and managed care required.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
