Summary/ObjectiveReporting to Executive Committee, the Chief
Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the firm's IT
strategy and operations, driving innovation, and optimizing the
firm's technology ecosystem. The CIO will oversee a team of IT
professionals and be instrumental in building out capabilities that
enhance efficiency, security, and client services. This role
presents an opportunity to lead a high-impact IT transformation
initiative, driving innovation and efficiency while working in a
dynamic environment that allows for shaping the firm's long-term
technology strategy.Essential Functions
- IT Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive
IT roadmap aligned with business goals, ensuring the firm's
technology infrastructure scales with growth.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals,
fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and
excellence.
- Technology Consolidation & Integration: Evaluate and
consolidate technologies across multiple affiliate companies to
improve operational efficiency and data flow.
- Data & Business Intelligence: Oversee the development of a data
warehouse and leverage Power BI to enhance internal decision-making
and publish analytics into the client portal.
- Automation & Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to
automate manual processes, reducing inefficiencies and improving
service delivery.
- Zoho Ecosystem: Optimize the firm's use of Zoho, ensuring
seamless integration with the broader Microsoft technology
stack.
- Security & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust security
frameworks and compliance measures to protect client financial
data.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Strategy: Develop and lead the firm's
infrastructure and cloud strategy ensuring scalability,
reliability, and security.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal
stakeholders and external vendors to implement best-in-class
technology solutions.Responsibilities & DutiesIT Strategy &
Leadership:
- Review and adjust the IT roadmap in alignment with business
objectives and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure technology
initiatives support business goals.
- Schedule regular brainstorming sessions to identify new
technology trends and opportunities.
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective
allocation of resources while evaluating ROI for infrastructure,
software, and innovation initiatives.Team Management
- Conduct meetings with the IT team to discuss progress,
challenges, and priorities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a
culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Regularly assess team performance and provide constructive
feedback.Technology Consolidation & Integration
- Evaluate current technologies in use across affiliate companies
for potential consolidation.
- Develop integration plans for consolidating technologies to
enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with affiliate companies to understand their
technology needs and challenges.Data & Business Intelligence
- Oversee the development and implementation of the data
warehouse strategy.
- Review Power BI dashboards and reports to ensure they meet
internal decision-making needs.
- Ensure analytics published in the client portal are accurate
and provide value to clients.Automation & Process Optimization
- Identify manual processes ripe for automation and outline a
strategy for implementation.
- Regularly monitor service delivery metrics to identify areas
for improvement.
- Facilitate workshops with teams to brainstorm automation
ideas.Zoho Ecosystem
- Meet with teams to evaluate the current use of Zoho and
identify optimization opportunities.
- Ensure seamless integration between Zoho and Microsoft
technology stack.
- Organize training sessions for staff to maximize Zoho's
effectiveness.Security & Compliance
- Conduct daily reviews of security protocols and compliance
measures.
- Monitor potential security threats and compliance issues,
taking proactive measures as necessary.
- Implement ongoing training for staff on security best practices
and compliance requirements.Infrastructure & Cloud Strategy
- Regularly assess the current IT infrastructure and cloud
strategy for scalability and reliability.
- Lead discussions on cloud strategy enhancements and
implementation.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers to optimize cloud
solutions and negotiate contracts.
- Regularly seek feedback from team members and stakeholders to
enhance the IT strategy.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to
ensure the organization remains competitive.This job description is

Education & Experience
- 15+ years of IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in
an executive or senior IT management role.
- Proven experience leading technology teams in financial
services, tax, accounting, or wealth management industries
preferred.
- Strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and deep expertise
in data-driven decision-making, automation, security, and IT
governance.
- Strong background in IT strategy, digital transformation, and
business process automation.
- Experience working with CRM Systems such as Zoho as well as
experience with Microsoft Technologies such as Microsoft 365,
Azure, and Power BI.
- Expertise in data warehousing, analytics, and business
intelligence implementations.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and IT governance best
practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science,
Business, or a related field.TravelMinimal travel is expected for
this position.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical,
office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment
such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax
machines.Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however,
some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift
files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.Position
Type & Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full exempt position. For
the first 6-9 months, an in-office presence is expected 98% of the
time. Normal business hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Some
flexibility in hours and remote work may be allowed once
established in the role.
